The name of the project is River Deck. Sonae Sierra states that the works should be completed in the last quarter of 2024.

Sonae Sierra will invest nine million euros in a restoration project in the Vasco da Gama shopping center, signed by Reify.

The name of the project is River Deck and will be inspired by the “latest European trends in terms of restaurant areas and will feature 15 new spaces that will respond to a wide range of national and international gastronomic options”, says Sonae Sierra, a company which operates vertically in the real estate sector, in partnership with CBRE Investment Management.

The first interventions began in September 2023 and the work is scheduled to be completed in the last quarter of 2024.

“We are confident that the River Deck will be a landmark in the experience of visitors to the Vasco da Gama Center. We sought to provide this reference asset with a modern space, with a diverse and high-quality gastronomic offer, in line with what we can find in the main European capitals, and similar to what we have been doing in other centers in our portfolio. We are sure that, once opened, this new space will elevate the experience of visitors and tenants”, said Sierra’s Director of Asset Management in Portugal and Romania, Ricardo Vilaça.

Sonae Sierra emphasizes that the project aims to meet Sierra’s commitments and sustainability policy.
