Following this operation, as well as the reinforcement of the strategic partnership with Stellantis, MCoutinho Lisboa expanded its portfolio in 2023, incorporating the Alfa Romeo and DS brands, in addition to the inclusion of Opel and Spoticar.

In 2023, the MCoutinho Group acquired the company Bomcar, with two locations of the BMW, Mini and MG brands in Leiria and Coimbra, and this process also guaranteed the group’s strategic entry into the motorcycle market with BMW Motorrad, KTM and Husqvarna, thus increasing the company’s portfolio of brands.

This year, the MCoutinho Group opened the doors of the new Mercedes-Benz dealership in Penafiel, representing an investment of seven million euros.

The MCoutinho Group currently has a portfolio of 28 automotive brands and authorized repairs for 33 nationwide.

Founded in 1956, the group has a national geographical footprint, namely with a presence in the districts of Bragança, Vila Real, Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra, Viseu, Leiria and Lisbon.

To support business expansion, the MCoutinho Group’s operation has 90 points of sale — 78 for new vehicles and 12 for used vehicles –, 24 after-sales units (104 authorized repairers), 15 collision centers, eight rent-a-car stations and three parts logistics centers.

“This success is the result of our strategy of expansion, diversification and focus on excellence in customer service and sustainability”, highlights the manager.
