Although this is just its first electric car, Xiaomi seems to have gotten it right the first time with the SU7. The brand recently revealed its proposal and the market quickly reacted, causing orders to soar. It remains limited to consumers in China, but that doesn't stop it from being successful.
Now, according to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, a new important goal has been achieved. In just 32 days, Xiaomi managed to produce 10 thousand units of its SU7, exceeding even the most positive expectations that were set for its production during this period.

Orders for the SU7 keep increasing
This electric car received more than 50,000 orders in the first 27 minutes after going on sale, creating a waiting list of up to seven months. This led Xiaomi to rethink its production strategy and try to produce more SU7 than initially planned to keep up with demand.
According to a post by Xiaomi Automobile on Weibo, orders for the SU7 reached 75,723 units in the first 28 days. To keep up with this growing list of orders, Xiaomi is increasing production of its electric car, hoping to deliver 100,000 units this year.
Xiaomi is showing the market how it's done
As an example, the first Tesla Model 3 only managed to manufacture a total of 260 units in the first quarter and 2425 units in the second. Despite his estimates, he pointed to a total of 5 thousand units produced per week, something that, unfortunately, was not able to be achieved at the time.
