NIn the coming months, BYD’s small city car Seagull promises to be a talking point. Not only because of his arguments, but also because of the price at which it can reach the European market.
According to the Motor1 website, this electric vehicle, which offers around 250 kilometers of autonomy (WLTP cycle), can cost anything from 12,000 euros in Italy. For Portugal there is still no reference value, but it may not go very far, despite the higher national tax burden.
At 3.78 meters long, the BYD Seagull is one of the most compact cars on the market. Presented in 2023 in China, this small model from the Chinese brand has a design that BYD has already accustomed us to, both outside and inside. In the cabin, the highlight is the five-inch digital instrument panel and the 12.8-inch multimedia screen.
Equipped with a 75 hp electric motor, the LFP battery can be chosen by the customer: There is a 30.8 and 38.8 kWh option. These batteries offer, respectively, a maximum of 250 and 300 kilometers of autonomy.
