Tips to continue eating what you like most and lose weight:

  • Pizza. Choose a thin crust to reduce your calorie intake. Furthermore, adding more vegetables “increases the fiber content and promotes satiety, helping with weight loss”, he adds. He also recommends opting for pizzas with little cheese to “further reduce calories and saturated fat”;
  • Burgers. “Opting for turkey or veggie burgers reduces saturated fat and calorie content, while whole grain breads provide more fiber, helping control appetite and support weight loss.” You can also replace the bread with lettuce, “which further reduces carbohydrates and calories”, he explains;
  • Pasta. Try eating whole grain or chickpea pasta which contains more fiber and protein than refined pasta. This helps promote feelings of satiety and reduce total calorie intake;
  • Ice cream. Typically, “low-fat or Greek yogurt contains less sugar and fat than traditional ice cream, which allows for a pleasure with fewer calories”;
  • Chocolate. You should start buying “dark chocolate with a high cocoa content, rich in antioxidants and low in sugar”, something that allows a little indulgence without compromising your efforts;
  • Chips. You can always eat “fried sweet potatoes or zucchini to reduce the oil and calorie content compared to regular fries.” You can also consider using an ‘air fryer’ to completely reduce the fat.
