Actress Dakota Fanning says it’s more important to her to have children than to be an actress. The 30-year-old artist revealed her plans to get pregnant in the near future in a recent interview with Porter magazine.
Older sister of actress Elle Fanning, Dakota is remembered for films such as ‘War of the Worlds’ (2005), ‘Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood’ (2019) and ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2’ (2012). She has been dating Henry Frye since 2017.
“Being an actress is a big part of my identity. I don’t know who I am without my profession,” said Fanning.
Then she pondered her personal plans: “But I also want to manage my life and career so I can make choices. Having children is probably more important than anything to me, even acting.”
The artist closed on the topic by saying: “If someone asked me to choose, I would choose to have children. I’m one of those people who always felt this desire [de ter filhos]”.
Regarding her personal and professional choices, Dakota also said: “I’ve been encouraging myself to say yes to things that make me uncomfortable, spending long periods of time in places that scare me, because one day it won’t be so easy anymore.”
Dakota starred alongside Denzel Washington in ‘The Equalizer: Final Chapter’ (2023), almost 20 years after they worked together in ‘Flames of Vengeance’ (2004). In 2024 she will be in theaters in the horror ‘The Watchers’, directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan, daughter of director M. Night Shyamalan.
