Italian actress and singer Carla Bruniformer First Lady of France, admitted that one of her weaknesses is alcohol consumption and revealed that she is considered a “drunk” by her own sister, the director and actress Valeria Bruni Tedeschi.
In an ironic and at the same time profound interview that will be broadcast on Rai2 this Tuesday night, the 2nd, the former top model confessed that she “feels used, not represented” by her sister, who “only makes films inspired by my family”. “I’m seen as a drunk. This is one of my great weaknesses, why expose it like that?”, she emphasized.
Regarding the tendency towards alcohol addiction, she commented that “some people can drink a small glass of wine and that’s it”, but she has no limit. “Alcohol is made for those who have moderation. I don’t have moderation, I wasn’t born with it,” she admitted.
Experience as First Lady
During the conversation with the presenter Francesca FagnaniBruni also talked about her experience as First Lady of France, during the mandate of her husband, the former president Nicolas Sarkozywho was in power between 2007 and 2012.
“It was an interesting role, a unique opportunity. Of course I wouldn’t experience it every day, I’m happy it’s over,” she highlighted, confirming that Sarkozy’s failure in re-election was a relief for her. “I was really praying, it’s so much better now.”

Finally, Fagnani asked Bruni if “being illegitimate” had an impact on her life. The Italian married the former French president in 2018, after he divorced his second wife just four months earlier. Furthermore, she was considered a “man-eater”, due to her alleged lovers.
“Adultery for me is not a sin, I am a daughter of this love,” she said. Asked if she would tolerate this in her marriage, Bruni said yes. “Yes, I would tolerate it if it was adultery like that… physical. If he fell in love, no, I would slit his throat,” she added.
The Italian presenter then asked if this had already happened. “I don’t know, but he’s alive”, joked the actress.
