Presented with a new cart, Daniel Erthal is prevented from selling drinks in Rio

The former “Malhação” actor Daniel Erthal has been successful on social media. In January, he was “rediscovered” selling beers on the streets of Rio de Janeiro and, since then, he has shared his routine as a street vendor. In the early hours of this Friday, the 26th, however, the heartthrob took to social media to vent: he is being prevented from selling drinks.

He recently received a new cart from a beverage brand to work with. However, when showing the vehicle on Instagram, the former actor was approached by officials from the Municipal Secretariat of Public Order of Rio de Janeiro (SEOP) and informed that he could not even test the car’s lights.

“Based on the videos I made, they made it look like I was selling it. They said I couldn’t keep the stroller in public order. I’m in front of my building, I have somewhere to put it [o carrinho]. There’s nothing here, they’re saying I can’t even test the light. I have to take the cart out. This is the type of conversation we have with them. It’s difficult, guys”, said Erthal, in a video.

In another video, the seller explains that the officers would authorize the sale of drinks only when he has his license in hand.

“The Public Order Secretariat carried out an ordering operation in Copacabana this Thursday, the 25th, and found that former actor Daniel Erthal was working as a street vendor. It is important to highlight that he does not have a license to act as a street vendor, making his activity illegal. The agents ordered the cart and styrofoam to be removed as they were illegally occupying the public area, without authorization. SEOP highlights that it has already received complaints from residents of the region.”
