The passion for music has led Portuguese violinist Eliseu Silva to tour stages all over the world throughout a career in which attachment to his roots is always present. Macau, United States of America, Italy, France, Slovakia, Poland, Spain, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Australia, Romania, China, Switzerland, Austria and Spain are some of the territories in which he has worked, fulfilling a childhood dream.

“I started learning violin very early, when I was four and a half years old, as my parents also played. Despite taking lessons from my cousin, I wasn’t very interested in music. Until my cousin started playing much better than me. From then on I started studying and never stopped. I realized all the magic and charm behind the violin”, explains the 41-year-old musician to JN.

Eliseu Silva also considers himself an entrepreneur, not only through his more pedagogical side, which includes classes, seminars, workshops and masterclasses, but also his more creative side, always trying to implement this aspect in the concerts and events he organizes.

The taste for music is accompanied by the interdisciplinarity and artistic diversity that he always tries to present in his concerts. Therefore, the violinist has the habit of inviting several local artists and orchestras from the cities he visits, which results in unique experiences, even if the concert is part of a ‘tour’ that contains an unchanging repertoire throughout its duration.
His last tour was last month, where he visited three auditoriums in Los Angeles and another in North Dakota. Still this month, she was present at the Aula Magna of the Polytechnic of Viseu, during the International Spring Music Festival that took place in the city between April 2nd and 20th.
