Margarida Castro’s father about his daughter’s abusive relationship: “I’m a little hurt” – Fama – SAPO.pt

It was in the studio, at Big Brother’s Sunday gala, that Armando Castro watched his daughter Margarida’s Curva da Vida. The 26-year-old competitor revealed in tears what she suffered at the hands of her “ex” and how she was hurt by her father when her parents separated, when she was 11 years old. In an exclusive broadcast to TV 7 Dias, the father of the young woman from Mafra reveals that he watched everything “with emotion”. “I already knew, the years pass, but they never forget. I informed myself about everything, I have to be patient with this role”begins by saying.

It was Armando Castro, after making peace with his daughter after the divorce, who helped her report her ex-boyfriend to the authorities, causing him to be arrested. “It’s hard, I didn’t know, she hid it like she said, when she went to call me at another house and told me, I went there with the police and he was immediately arrested. It’s hard for me to know that this is happening and that similar things continue to happen today. I’m a little hurt”emphasizes.

Margarida Castro also shared how her parents’ divorce, in 2010, marked her because she discovered that her father had cheated on her mother with another woman, which made her move away from her father “for two years”, and the terror he experienced in the love relationship he experienced in 2019 when he was 20 years old. The digital influencer reported the abuse she suffered and how she excused the first snap. “I didn’t take her seriously. I thought: ‘the person got upset, he exploded’. The problem was that all the attacks got worse. Initially it was attacks on my legs, on my arms, until the attacks escalated, from hitting me until I passed out, from locking me up at home, from beating me for hours and hours at a time. I was driving and the person shook the steering wheel and said we were both going to die. I forgave and forgave,” he said with tears in his eyes, assuming that he feared for his life. “Nothing justifies the number of times I was attacked. I was very scared because he lived in my house without my father knowing. I was very lucky I didn’t die in there. I spent hours and hours asking for water with blood in my mouth, the person simply continued to argue, argue, argue.”
Margarida went to the hospital several times, without ever saying the origin of the wounds. The most serious attack happened in February 2020 after she received a message from another person. “I was disfigured. (…) On February 8th, the attacks happened again, on top of the ones I already had in my face and that was when I made the decision to tell my father. That day he was arrested and my father supported me a lot, he didn’t fail me”, said the young woman. Margarida forgave him again, managed to get her ex-boyfriend out of prison and they started living together again. “We left there together, hand in hand. My father stopped talking to me, my friends stopped talking to me. And it didn’t even last a month. He attacked me again. I decided to expose everything on the internet. I started to realize that I was going to end up in a cemetery. In October 2021 the police saved me and arrested him. I did a lot of therapy and recovered my whole life.”, concluded Margarida Castro. The ex-partner is currently serving an effective prison sentence.
