Gerard Depardieu is being interviewed by French police over accusations of sexual assault made by two women. After the first interrogation, the actor was placed under police surveillance, according to BFMTV and CNN.
The alleged victims are a decorator from the film team for the film “Les Volets Verts” and the other, who requests anonymity, a woman who was part of the filming team for “The Magician and the Siamese”.
The decorator accuses Depardieu of having sexually assaulted her in 2021, having filed a complaint on February 23 for “sexual assault, “sexual harassment” and “sexist outrages”.
The second, who was 24 years old at the time of the possible events, filed a complaint against the actor on January 9 and accuses him of the same facts this year. She says that the actor made sexual advances to her during the filming of Jean-Pierre Mocky’s film, which took place last March.

In addition to these two complaints, Gerard Depardieu is accused by three more women. Actress Charlotte Arnoud says the actor raped her in August 2018, a case in which the artist was indicted.
Another actress, Hélène Darras, filed a complaint for sexual assault and writer Ruth Baza filed a complaint against the actor in Spain for rape.
Gerard Depardieu has always disputed the accusations, stating in an open letter published in the opinion section of the newspaper “Le Figaro” on October 1: “I have never, ever abused a woman.”
