VIP ‘tickets’ to see Madonna in Rio are advertised for up to R$2,000, and sponsor warns of ‘fraud’ | Madonna in Rio

The presentation will be free for those who watch from the beach sand, but tickets to watch from a vantage point are being advertised for up to R$2,000. Itaú, sponsor of the event, alert for fraud.

Ads seen by g1 ranged from R$800 to R$2,000, and the advertisers said they gave up on going to the show. A woman said she had a wedding to go to on the same date.

There is actually a VIP area for guests of the sponsoring brands. Tickets are generated in people’s names and CPF’s and It is non-transferable and therefore cannot be sold.

On social media, Itaú bank even warned customers: “access to Espaço Itaú cannot be sold. Keep an eye out so you don’t fall for scams!”

In a note, the bank reinforced that “the area is intended for free access for fans and customers who won promotions and guests” and that tickets are not sold.

The bank highlights that it will have security technology and digital access control to the space, which will be released upon presentation of an original document with photo.
