“I was enchanted”: singer Marco Paulo honored in “Para Semper, Marco”

The first of two shows “Para Semper, Marco” took place on Wednesday. The project pays homage to Marco Paulo’s songs. The singer attended the concert and spoke to SIC.

A full room to welcome Marco Paulo in a different role than usual. He swaps the stage for the audience for a show in which he is honored.

“After 55 years of singing these songs, how am I going to behave? Will I last until the end? Will I cry? I am a very emotional person. They did everything by surprise. I don’t know what songs they chose, I don’t know anything”, the singer revealed to SIC.

“Maravilhoso Coração” was the song with which the singer introduced the “Para Semper Marco” project.

“I normally don’t like people singing my songs, but in this case I was delighted with the people singing them, the arrangements”, he confesses.

An emotional tone for Marco Paulo who, because he is recovering from cancer, has not performed for two years. The singer was moved by the show.

The Tivoli Theater, in Lisbon, will host “Para Semper, Marco” again this Thursday. The show will then be broadcast on SIC.
