“WI’ve known him for a long time and I’m suspicious because I like him. Everything he said was suspect, so I’d rather not have an opinion on it,” said Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, about Sebastião Bugalho, with whom he is at Ovibeja this Sunday.
Refusing to comment further on the candidate for the European Championships for the Democratic Alliance, the President also said that he will vote in advance, a week before.
“I would highly advise many Portuguese people to do so, because there is that bridge”, he further stated.
It should be noted that a total of 17 parties and coalitions are competing in the elections for the European Parliament on June 9, the same number as in 2019, with only four party forces recognized by the Constitutional Court that will not go to vote.
According to the lists posted at the Constitutional Court (TC), the Democratic Alliance (coalition composed of PSD, CDS and PPM), PS, Chega, Liberal Initiative, Bloco de Esquerda, CDU (PCP coalition) are competing in the European elections on June 9th. /PEV), Livre, PAN, ADN, MAS, Ergue-te, Nova Direita, Volt Portugal, RIR, Us Citizens, MPT and PTP.
In total, there are two coalitions (AD and CDU) and 15 parties. Of the 24 parties recognized by the Constitutional Court, only four do not go to the vote: Aliança, PCTP/MRPP, Juntos Pelo Povo (JPP) and (A)TUA (formerly PRPP).
