Rúben Amorim said, this Saturday, that he was not sure about Viktor Gyokeres’ future. In a press conference, following the victory against Estoril (1-0), the Sporting coach explained the gesture carried out last Sunday, on the bus, as if telling the fans that the Swede wasand ended up asking for his girlfriend’s ‘help’ to stop the goalscorer in Alvalade.
“In relation to Viktor [Gyokeres] I have no idea. Obviously I said a lot of things on the bus… (laughs) But I have no idea”, Rúben Amorim began by saying, continuing.
“We really want him to stay, but this already comes into the role of Hugo Viana and the president. We really want to keep Viktor. We have to see that there are big leagues and big clubs that can pay and it is difficult to keep players. I know he is Happy here, he has a Portuguese girlfriend, that could all help (laughs). We’re going to play in the Champions League, but we’ll see”, said the Lions’ coach, clearly in a good mood.
