The 172nd Meeting of the Southern Minas Gerais Early Childhood Education Forum was held this Wednesday, 24th, in the amphitheater of the UFLA Department of Agriculture. The event was attended by the municipality’s Early Childhood Education Coordinator Cristina Castro, and the mayor of Lavras, Jussara Menicucci.
The meeting that brought together educators from Lavras and the region and had as its central theme the “Public policies for Early Childhood Education: challenges of implementing the Reading and Writing Project in Early Childhood Education – LEEI – in the south of Minas”.
Since 1999, the Forum has been a fundamental space for democratic debates and searches for improvements in this area of education.
Mayor Jussara Menicucci highlighted the importance of the Forum, which over the years has helped to shape public policies for education. “Let us continue to value and support initiatives such as the Southern Minas Gerais Early Childhood Education Forum, as it is through collective engagement and the exchange of experiences that we can guarantee a bright future for our children”.
