As a way of maintaining good memories, Arapongas City Hall, through the Municipal Department of Culture, Leisure and Events (Secle), dedicated a space in its headquarters to honor municipal servant Marcus Comar, known as “Marcão”. The musician, composer and writer passed away in September 2023. He worked for several years at Secle, also integrating his activities with the group Viagem à Fantasia. Also as a writer, he produced the work: “Fear, Panic and Depression”, where he shared facts he experienced during his life and how he overcame each obstacle. According to the Secretary of Culture, Geison Cortez, the tribute recalls the artist’s incredible story. “Marcão has always inspired generations, always happy and joyful, he impacted the lives of everyone he went through. All of this was no different here at the Department of Culture. He will forever be remembered. Thank you Marcão,” he said.
Visitation
The space dedicated to the artist is at the Secretariat of Culture (in the Old Railway Station building – located between Rua Rouxinol and Rua Jandaia, close to the Milene Cultural Station) and can be visited by the population. The guitar used by the artist remains on display.
