At the main event on this Friday’s SmackDown, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes faced Carmelo Hayes in a Non-Title Match.
This match took place after it was revealed that Carmelo Hayes officially became a SmackDown Superstar in the first round of the Draft. In the end, Cody Rhodes managed to capture the victory after a Cross Rhodes.

In an interview with SmackDown Exclusive, NXT Champion Trick Williams spoke about Carmelo Hayes’ move to SmackDown:
I’m super excited, super excited about Carmelo Hayes. He is a phenomenal talent, as everyone knows, he is him.
However, I think it’s very bold to call out Cody Rhodes on your first day of work, but do what people tell you to do, kick his ass.
