After losing the NXT Championship against Trick Williams, “Mad Dragon” Ilja Dragunov is expected to rise to the main roster next Monday, on the second night of the Draft.
Through your podcast Hall of Fame, NXT commentator Booker T spoke about the possibility of Ilja Dragunov joining Imperium, the group led by Gunther:
I tell you what, man, it would be a great place for him. Being in that group, he’s not going to get lost in the shuffle or anything like that.
He’s very, very good. By having him be part of that group, we can pit him against anyone and he can definitely go out and shine no matter who we pit him against, because he will have support.
So yes, I can see that happening. It would be a great group for him to be part of.
