The ex-girlfriend of Swedish DJ Avicii has died. She was 34 years old

Upon the death of Aviciiyoung Swedish DJ, in 2018, one of the most popular tributes left to the artist was that of his ex-girlfriend, Emily Goldberg. With life taking turns, six years later, another tragedy happens. The young woman died on April 3, aged 34.

According to the German newspaper Bild, referencing an American obituary, Avicii’s former companion lost her life in California, victim of a pulmonary embolism. The same website shows some of the main milestones in the life of the young woman, who dated the DJ for two years.

The same organization details that the former couple met in 2011 at George Washington University, when Emily Goldberg was studying at the institution. Two years later, the relationship came to an end. Life would also lead them to separate, five years later, with the death of the Swedish star.

Remember that Avicii took a giant step in his career as an artist and at the age of 28 he was already a recognized global talent. In 2012, however, the Swede was already worrying fans after being hospitalized for two weeks following an overdose of alcohol and pills.

For several years Avicii continued to abuse his body to deal with his mental problems and in 2018 he ended up taking his own life.
