Divinópolis City Hall, through the Worker’s Health Surveillance (Visat) of the Municipal Health Department (Semusa), held, this Friday (26/4), the 2nd Meeting on Health, Safety and Worker Care.

The event took place at Praça do Santuário, where several tents were set up so the hundreds of workers and family members who participated could carry out rapid tests to detect sexually transmitted infections, measure blood pressure, combat dengue fever and update vaccination records.

Many parents, together with their children, were informed about how dengue fever proliferates and everyone had the opportunity to see the mosquito in all its life stages (larvae, pupa and mosquito) in the sealed aquarium. Through models, they were able to see the places where female mosquitoes lay their eggs, and, in a didactic way, they received guidance on how to combat mosquitoes.

The sanitary/health inspector, Eduardo Rodrigo de Oliveira, stated that the 2nd Meeting on Health, Safety and Worker Care was a success and achieved its objective. “To achieve the objective, the Visat team set up a task force to carry out all services. We were very satisfied with all the services provided, as dozens of people participated in the actions and benefited!”, said Eduardo.

Today’s activity was attended by nursing students, from the Special Care Service/Testing and Counseling Center, Sersam, Environmental Surveillance, Primary Care, Immunization Center, Copasa and Master Cabo.
