Environmental Surveillance from the Rio Grande Health Department intensifies actions against Dengue in the municipality, this Saturday (27) and next week. Agents to combat endemic diseases will carry out the delimitation of outbreaks and Special Vector Research in the city center region, where they will visit homes and guide residents on how to combat the proliferation of new outbreaks of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, the insect that transmits Dengue, Zika and Chikungunya.

If in doubt about receiving the agent at your home, any resident can contact Environmental Health Surveillance by phone (53)3233-7289. If it rains, activities will be suspended.

For next week, Thursday and Friday (May 2nd and 3rd), another campaign against Dengue is scheduled as part of the municipal campaign “Don’t Let Dengue Create Itself”. This time, the action will be in the Vila Maria and Bernadeth neighborhoods. There will be the participation of agents to combat endemic diseases, who will have support from Army soldiers, teams from the City Janitorial Secretariat, Civil Defense, Inspection and Postures.

Industrial District

During the two days of work carried out in the Industrial District, in the middle of the week, four trucks of tires and other unusable materials were removed. An area of ​​approximately three square kilometers was inspected. For this action, Environmental Surveillance had 22 agents to combat endemic diseases and the support of the Army, which sent nine soldiers on each day, in addition to the Posture Inspection and City Janitor teams.
