‘Diabetes needs to be placed as a priority on the Ministry of Health’s agenda’ | Health

For five years, patients with type 1 diabetes have been waiting for access to fast-acting insulin analogues in the public health network. The medicine was incorporated into the SUS in 2019 and so far the Ministry of Health does not present a date for purchase and distribution. In a statement, the Ministry of Health said that a new attempt to acquire the medicine began in 2023, after four years without success. Read the full note:

“After 4 years of unsuccessful acquisition (2019-2022), the current management of the Ministry of Health has spared no effort to acquire the medicine, even in a situation of structural dismantling and human resources found.
