The City of Indaiatuba and UniMAX released the results of yet another anti-rabies vaccination of the year, carried out last Saturday (27) at Parque PET in Jardim Esplanada and at Espaão PET in front of the PagueMenos supermarket. In total, 134 animals were vaccinated against rabies, 102 dogs and 32 cats. The next vaccination is scheduled to take place on May 25th in Jardim Brasil, only for residents of the neighborhood. The trend will cover the entire town of Indaiatuba in the coming months.

Why vaccinate my PET against rabies?

Rabies is a serious viral disease that affects the central nervous system of mammals, including humans and animals. It is almost always fatal to both animals and humans, therefore vaccination is a crucial measure to prevent the spread of the disease.

The anti-rabies vaccine is highly efficient in preventing rabies. It stimulates the animal’s immune system to produce antibodies against the rabies virus. If the animal is exposed to the virus in the future, these antibodies will help protect it and fight the infection.

In addition to protecting your animal, anti-rabies vaccination is also important for public health. Rabies is a zoonosis, meaning it can be transmitted from animals to humans. By vaccinating your pet, you help reduce the risk of rabies transmission to you, your family and other people.
