The Epidemiological Surveillance of the Rio Grande Health Department will replenish the municipal network stations with doses of the Influenza flu vaccine, which will be released to the entire population from 6 months of age on Tuesday (7) . Anyone in the priority groups continues to be vaccinated and can look for doses as early as Monday (6).

Stations must be refilled on Monday morning by 10am. In those located in risk areas, such as those on islands, supply will be assessed, in order to avoid loss of vaccines.

Due to the possibility of power outages and flooding due to bad weather, Surveillance was forced to collect the vaccines from several units in the city and deposit them at Posto IV, a place that has a cold chain to store the doses. Therefore, replenishment begins on Monday and on Tuesday doses will be available to the entire population from 6 months of age. The stations in the neighborhoods Cassino, Querência, Bolaxa, Senandes, Barra, Santa Teresa, São João, CAIC, Junção, Materno, Bernadeth, Quinta, Quintinha and those located on the islands were the ones that had the vaccines collected for prevention.

On Monday, the access situation in some locations will be reassessed by the Secretariat, due to the floods in Laguna dos Patos, which, this Saturday (4), began to rise, affecting the islands of Torotama and Marinheiros. Depending on the assessment, the doses will or will not be delivered to these and other locations.

To receive the dose against the Influenza flu, the person must present the Vaccination Booklet, identity document and CPF and the SUS Card.

Priority Groups

Surveillance highlights the need to continue vaccinating the population in priority groups, due to their greater vulnerability to illness. In this way, it asks the entire population to attend vaccination sites and take friends and family who are on the priority list to also be immunized.
