Rare bowl with five-pointed star discovered in Israel

Recently, during a community excavation in the Berner region, in Israel, a rare bowl with a five-pointed star represented in it.

Dating from the Abbasid period (between the 9th and 10th centuries AD), the object is enameled with a green ceramic pigment, used to draw the star, as published in a press release on Facebook by the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA).

According to archaeologists, the bowl was apparently damaged even in ancient timesand repaired by their owners with the insertion of metal or lead wires.
