In Barbacena, the 2024 Anti-rabies Campaign has already had its dates announced by City Hall. Vaccination against rabies is extremely important for controlling the disease, which is lethal in both animals and humans.
Starting next Monday (13/05), there will be a fixed vaccination point at the Endemic Disease Control Center (CCE). On site, an agent will be responsible for receiving and vaccinating the animals, from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 11am and from 1pm to 4:30pm, open to the entire population.
In rural areas, from June 3rd, vaccination will be carried out at specific points that will be informed to the population in advance. The action will end on July 17th.
D-day in the Rural Zone takes place on the 15th of June, from 1pm to 5pm and in the Urban Zone on the 29th of the same month from 8am to 5pm. Further information regarding the vaccination sites in rural areas and the D-Day points will be provided during the Campaign.
