Prevention of dengue fever and the fight against Aedes aegypti remain intense in Atibaia

The municipality declared a public health emergency due to the disease; check your home, eliminate standing water and avoid possible breeding sites for the transmitting mosquito


As of this Wednesday, April 3, 2024, Atibaia recorded 1,899 confirmed cases of dengue out of 2,900 notifications made. Of this total, 916 cases were discarded and 85 are under investigation, and there is one suspected death and none confirmed from the disease in the municipality.

The City Hall has carried out a series of actions to prevent dengue and combat the Aedes aegypti mosquito, its transmitter. Among the initiatives are house-to-house joint efforts, land cleaning, activities in schools and raising awareness among residents.
