Suspect had already attacked other people who tried to approach his room. Victims are two retirees who wanted to buy land and whose bodies are still to be found.
A German sexagenarian is the main suspect in having killed two pensioners on the island of Pico, in the Azores. At the origin of the crime is the fact that the foreigner does not want to have neighbors next to the house he acquired several years ago on that Azorean island. The Judiciary Police, with the help of the PSP, GNR and Maritime Police, is still trying to locate the bodies of the victims, which will have been hidden by the man who is in preventive detention after being arrested last Saturday.
The case began on the 10th of this month, when two residents of the island of Pico, aged 65 and 74, traveled to a plot of land located in the town of Madalena. Retired but with businesses in the real estate sector, the men went to look at a plot of land they intended to buy and never returned home. The alert for his disappearance was given the following day and the Judiciary Police quickly found several traces that pointed to the existence of a double homicide, followed by the concealment of the corpses. The victims’ car, for example, was in the same place where it had been parked.
