Arrested in Guarda suspected of selling drugs, including to minors in exchange for sexual favors
A 38-year-old man suspected of drug trafficking, including to minors in exchange for sexual favors, was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Judiciary Police (PJ).
In a statement, the PJ revealed that the defendant is “suspected of engaging in the crime of aggravated drug trafficking, supplying minors, some under 14 years old”.
“The investigation made it possible to collect strong evidence of the commission of crimes of sexual abuse of children and sexual acts with adolescents on four victims, from whom they obtained sexual favors in exchange for narcotics”.
The PJ added that, “during the approach and searches carried out”, “a narcotic product (cannabis), various objects related to cutting, packaging/packaging and weighing of the product, communications and IT equipment, as well as a car”.
“The detainee has a criminal and police record of crimes of the same nature” and, after being present at the first judicial interrogation, he was ordered to wait for the development of the investigation in preventive detention and, furthermore, prohibited from contacting the victims.
PJ source told Lusa that the defendant, without professional activity, was detained in the municipality of Guarda.
The same source stated that three victims under the age of 14 and another aged between 14 and 18, of both sexes, had been identified.
This investigation is less than a year old, explained the source of the PJ, specifying that around 80 individual doses of cannabis were seized.
