ANDn 2024, the Michelin Guide will have an exclusive edition for Portugal for the first time. Unlike previous years, in which the new stars are known at the end of the previous year, in this new format we will only know the winners at a gala that will take place in the first months of 2024.

The presentation of the Guide to Spain already has a date set. It will be on the 28th of November in Barcelona. The national gala only happens months later. There is still no date or city chosen for this presentation.

In the last edition of the Guide, referring to the year 2023, Portugal had five more starred restaurants: Encanto, in Lisbon, by chef José Avillez; Euskalduna, in Porto, by chef Vasco Coelho Santos; Kabuki, in Lisbon; Kanazawa, in Lisbon, by chef Paulo Morais; and Le Monument, from Porto.

There was yet another green star for Portugal, for the Mesa de Lemos restaurant in Viseu. Il Gallo d’Oro and Esporão had also been distinguished with this award in the 2022 edition.
