David Antunes, Ivandro, Jorge Guerreiro and Marisa Liz are the headliners of the 2024 edition of the Festas de São José, which will take place between the 15th and 19th of March at Campo Emílio Infante da Câmara, in Santarém.

The city’s festivities “have become the great festival of Santarém’s youth, such is the number of young people filling the venue”, highlighted Ricardo Gonçalves, the president of the municipality, during the official presentation of the event’s program, which took place next to the Sé Cathedral, in Largo do Seminário.

The mayor also highlighted the fact that, year after year, the festivities attract more and more people to the city, “not only from the municipality of Santarém, but from many surrounding municipalities”.

According to councilor João Leite, who was responsible for presenting the program, this edition is dedicated to the fierce festival, the bull, the horse, and gastronomy.

In addition to the concerts and the most symbolic moments of the Saint Joseph Festival, such as the solemn mass in honor of the patron saint and the religious parade on March 19th, this edition highlights the first bull run of the year (March 16th). ) and the fact that there are equestrian activities every day.

In gastronomy, highlights include the soup festival, the traditional taverns and the continued creation of the “parish square”, run by the parish councils of the municipality.

As for the concerts, Scalabitano David Antunes takes to the main stage with his guests on the first night, March 15th, followed, on the 16th, by the Portuguese-Angolan musician Ivandro, Jorge Guerreiro on the 17th, and Marisa Liz, vocalist of Amor Eletro, on the last night, March 18th.
