CIM Coimbra Region receives 152 million in community financing until 2030

The Intermunicipal Community of the Coimbra Region (CIM-RC) and the Steering Committee of the Central Regional Program (Centro2030) will, on March 18th, Monday, at 11 am, at the CIM-RC facilities, sign the Contract for Development and Territorial Cohesion, outlining strategies to drive progress and harmony in the area.

Recently, the territorial development strategies of the eight Intermunicipal Communities (CIM) in the Central Region were approved, signaling a new chapter of collaboration and growth. With financial support of 900 million euros in European funds destined for the Central region, the contribution of around 152 million euros allocated to the CIM-RC stands out.

The contracts that will be signed cover a diverse range of strategic areas, aiming to strengthen the social and economic fabric of the region. Among the planned investments are support for successful educational programs, strengthening Civil Protection capacity, efficient management of water resources, promoting social inclusion, qualifying and valuing urban space, improving sustainable urban mobility and territorial qualification.
