The Municipal Museum of Tavira/Palácio da Galeria offers, during the Easter holidays, an experience for families, with several short-term workshops, focused on traditional arts, in partnership with the Associação Em Contacto Tavira – Projeto Lado a Lado and artisan Domingos Vaz, whose activities are aimed at children and young people.
The initiatives are part of the “Valorize – Support line for sustainability” program, within the scope of the application: “Tavira with the Mediterranean Diet – A sustainable tourist destination”, with a view to reinforcing the commitment to preserving local culture and traditions.
On March 26th and April 2nd, between 2pm and 5pm, Crochet Rosettes workshops will be held, providing the opportunity to learn and create crochet pieces.
On March 27th, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, the Traditional Cane Toys workshop will take place, under the guidance of artisan Domingos Vaz, who teaches how to make traditional cane toys.
