Local Support Center for Migrant Integration saw its application approved and remains in Beja

Cáritas Diocesana de Beja approved the application presented for the Local Support Center for the Integration of Migrants.

This is a service aimed at immigrants, in order to provide the necessary help for an easier and accompanied integration.

CLAIM de Beja, whose operating period ended at the end of last year, is now able to continue working until 2026, as the application presented for its maintenance was approved.

It should be remembered that in 2003 the Network of Local Support Centers for the Integration of Migrants (CLAIM Network) was created, of which this center in Beja is part, its central mission is to facilitate the reception and integration of migrant people.

The mission of these centers is to provide information and support whose mission is to support the entire process of welcoming and integrating migrant people, coordinating with the various local structures, and promoting interculturality at a local level.

The support applies to several areas, such as regularization, nationality, family reunification, housing, voluntary return, work, health, education, among other everyday issues.

The Beja center is open at Rua Afonso Lopes Vieira nº 18, from Monday to Friday, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
