Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) is trying to shine this Sunday in the home race of the Speed ​​World Championship, at the MotoGP Grand Prix of Portugal, which will be held at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, in Portimão.

The driver from Almada, who was 12th in Saturday’s sprint race, starts today in 15th place for the main race, with 25 laps scheduled.

Italian Enea Bastianini (Ducati) took pole position and started from first place on the grid.

The Algarve hosts, for the fifth consecutive time, the Portuguese MotoGP GP, which this year is the second of 21 scheduled races.

After the sprint race on Saturday, Italian Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) maintained the lead of the championship, but now with just two points ahead of Spaniard Jorge Martin (Ducati), runner-up in the world champion.

The program also includes Moto3 races (11:00), with 19 laps, and Moto2 (12:15), with 21 laps.

The MotoGP race, scheduled for 2pm, closes the 2024 Portuguese GP program.
