Open from the beginning of March 2024, on the emblematic Rua Augusta, the newest croissant house in Lisbon will take you on a journey through time thanks to its decoration, which immediately takes you back to the 80s and 90s.
“Hybrid” croissants
We are fans of original croissants, of the traditional ones and with everything we are entitled to.
But the truth is that more and more people are opting for a food free of animal products. So, there are also more and more establishments aware of this “new” lifestyle, and Chez Croissant is one of them.
Your bet is on vegan dough croissants, which combines the lightness of puff pastry with the softness of brioche, and in around 20 different fillings, between sweet and savory.
The most filling menu in Lisbon
Among the sweet options, we highlight the Croissant with Salted Caramel, the version with Egg Jam, the one with Nutella, or the one with White Chocolate and Hazelnut Cream, with prices that they cost around €2.80 and €3.80.
If you’re thinking of something savory, the highlights are the Croissant with Smoked Salmon, Philadelphia Cheese and Arugula, the Pumpkin Jam with Walnuts, or the Ham with Goat Cheese, with prices between €3.80 and €4.90.
You will also find croissants that adapt to all seasons of the year, and at these times all customers can expect surprising seasonal news.
Two special menus should also be highlighted: the Breakfast Menu, available between 8am and 11:30am (€4.50); and the Lunch Menu, between 12pm and 3pm (€6.50).
