Municipality of Moura promotes culture among the senior population

Between March 26th and April 4th, the Moura City Council promotes the “Senior Cultural Tours”, with visits to Estremoz. Aimed at retirees and people aged 65 or over in the municipality of Moura, these tours aim to combat isolation and encourage coexistence between the senior population from different parishes in the municipality and promote active aging.

They include guided visits to the Castle of Estremoz, the Chapel of Santa Isabel, the Church of Santa Maria and the Municipal Museum, in the morning. In the afternoon, participants will have a guided tour of the Estremoz Doll Interpretive Center, followed by the Berardo Museum, with a wine tasting included.

The Senior Cultural Tours take place on four different days, with seniors from Safara and Santo Aleixo da Restauração going on March 26th; Moura’s seniors on March 27; the seniors from Sobral da Adiça and Santo Amador on April 3rd; and the seniors from Amareleja, Póvoa de São Miguel and Estrela will go on April 4th.
