Carlos Barretto announced last week a new solo album, Lonely Dog. The double bassist has always been on the scene, but since 2002, with Pictorial Solo, by CBTM, that there was no new album. Now, he is preparing to present it in a series of concerts in Lisbon, half of which are free.

There are four closed dates for the presentation and the first is this Thursday, March 28th, at Jazz à Quintas at Café Dias, in a free entry session, at 7pm. On April 21st, at 6pm, there will be a new presentation at PENHA SCO, an artistic production and dissemination cooperative that is making its way in improvised music. On June 5th, the stage is the Liceu Camões Auditorium, with free entry and at 7pm, as usual, and as part of the Antena 2 Concert season, with live broadcast. At the end of the month, the 28 June, at 6pm, the presentation is part of the program Bernardo Sassetti Festival at Teatro São Luiz.

Carlos Barretto warns that the album, which has the support of the GDA Foundation and Antena 2, will not be distributed in stores: “To purchase it, send a PM, please”. In other words, whoever wants to keep a copy of Lonely Dog you have to speak directly to the musician.
