The President of the Alentejo Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR), António Ceia da Silva, presides, today, at the official opening of the 5th edition of the Sabores do Borrego Festival.
The opening session of the event takes place at 6:20 pm, at Largo da Feira, in Castro Verde and is attended by António José Brito, president of Castro Verde City Council, António Aires, President of the Farmers Association of Campo Branco and António Lopes, President of Campo Branco – Agricultural Producers Group.
The 5th edition of the “Sabores do Borrego” Festival takes place from today until Saturday, the 30th, at Largo da Feira in Castro Verde.
Three days of celebration and entertainment, through a program that focuses on reinforcing local identity and promoting a diverse set of initiatives, such as shows, workshops, exhibitions and lectures related to the activity of the livestock sector, but also, sing Alentejo, popular music and concerts.
The event aims to value and affirm the rural world and be a meeting point for the entire community and visitors from various parts of the country.
Promoted by the City Council, with partners the Campo Branco Farmers Association and Campo Branco – Agricultural Producers Group, the event is sponsored by the Caixa de Crédito Agrícola de Aljustrel e Almodôvar.
