The Mayor of Vidigueira, Rui Raposo, and the councilor of the Municipal Council of Isola del Giglio (Italy), Walter Rossi, signed a Collaboration Protocol, in a ceremony that took place last Saturday, March 23, at the Interpretative Center of the Talha Wine, in Vila de Frades.

Talha Wine – Adega de Vidigueira launches new 2023 harvest

The partnership between the two entities, which received technical assistance from the Alentejo Regional Development Agency – ADRAL, aims to undertake a common path that provides, among other commitments, the exchange of experiences and good practices, especially related to the sector winemaking.

This agreement has the approval of the Iter Vitis International Federation, recognized by the Council of Europe for the Iter Vitis European Cultural Itinerary – Les Chemins de la Vigne, represented at this event by Elisabetta Giudrinetti, who is committed to promoting and valuing it within of its activities, in the most appropriate forms and modalities.
Baixo Alentejo’s candidacy for European City of Wine 2026, lines of financing (areas of tourism, culture, heritage and wine), promotion and dynamization of wine-growing territories and development of projects in partnership, were the main topics covered in the session. It also included interventions from the
first secretary of the Baixo Alentejo Intermunicipal Community (CIMBAL), Fernando Romba, the Deputy President of the Alentejo Regional Tourism Promotion Agency (ARPTA), António Costa Silva and the vice-president of the Federation Iter Vitis and
general secretary of the Association of Portuguese Wine Municipalities (AMPV), José Arruda.
