The Municipality of Ponte de Lima promotes, from the 12th to the 14th of April, another gastronomic weekend, this time dedicated to the Lima River Lamprey.
“Available from the beginning of each year until the end of spring, this snack can be cooked in different ways, with emphasis on Lamprey Rice and Lamprey Bordalesa”, says the municipality.
On Friday, the 12th, at 9:30 pm, Teatro Diogo Bernardes hosts the dance show “Hash#free” by Quorum Ballet.
On Saturday, the 13th, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, you can see the recreation of the passage along the “Via Romana XIX – Ponte Velha”, a Roman road from the time of Augustus.
Ponte de Lima, being a hub for water sports, also hosts the Regional Championship of Hopes on the River Lima, on Saturday, between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm.
At 11am on Sunday, the 14th, the Street Theater “Os Imigrantes” will be presented by Duplaface – Companhia das Artes. During the afternoon, the entertainment will be at Largo de Camões with the Escola de Gaitas de Ponte de Lima, at 3 pm and Cantares ao Desafio, at 4 pm, which will feature the presence of Borguinha de Braga, Naty da Póvoa de Lanhoso, Celeste de Ponte da Barca and Daniel Lopes.
