The preparatory events for the High-Level Conference on the Management and Sustainability of Space Activitieswhich will contribute to the discussion of the space sector at the United Nations Future Summit (UN).
The urgency of facing the emerging risks to outer space protection and sustainabilitywhat demand multilateral, inclusive and sustainable governance was the main message of the two preparatory symposiums for the Management and Sustainability of Space Activities Conference, which, in total, featured more than 81 speakers from 22 countries.
Portugal’s joint conference with the UN, through UNOOSA (United Nations Office for Space Affairs), takes place on May 14th and 15th, in Lisbon.
The conference program on Management and Sustainability of Space Activities foresees a first day of work in which the conclusions of the preparatory symposiums will be presented and discussed, and a second day dedicated to interventions by Member States.
