For the first time in the history of its 85 editions, the Tour of Portugal by Bike will start in Beja. The test takes place from July 24th to August 4th, 2024.
Beja will become the thirty-first location to host the start of the “Portuguesa”, with a Prologue to be played on the afternoon of the 24th of July, and will cover several arteries of the city.
The departure is scheduled for Largo Dr.Lima Faleiro, with the Castle, the Lidador Social Center and the Church of the Sé as its backdrop and as in the Volta ao Alentejo, the finish will take place next to the Church of Santo Amaro, with the podium again the framing of the Beja Castle Keep.
