When presenting the festivities, the president of the Portuguese Basketball Federation (FPB), Manuel Fernandes, highlighted the 11 years of collaboration between the FPB and the municipality of Albufeira, a fundamental symbiosis for the positive outcome of this event. “Among players, coaches, referees, managers and members of the organization, there are 1,500 participants directly involved in this competition. It is the biggest meeting point for those who love youth basketball, which is celebrated every year. It also demonstrates the strategic vision of those who lead the municipality, who recognizes the positive impact, sportingly, socially and economically, for Albufeira. After 11 consecutive years of the Festival in Albufeira, we have stopped being partners and have become a cohesive, indestructible team, which does not compromise efforts so that nothing fails”, he pointed out.

It should be noted that the FPB, through its website, social networks and channel (www.fpbtv.pt, access to which is free) will follow this sporting event every second, with all games being broadcast live.
