The three injured children were transported to the hospital. The severity of the injuries suffered is not known at this time. All those involved in this incident are minors, the police said, later confirming that they were children aged 12. The investigation is ongoing and authorities are asking residents of this region to stay at home and not go out into the streets.

The school complex has around 800 students, teaching classes from the first to the ninth grade. The school is located in a suburb of the Finnish capital, Helsinki, and no details are currently known about the potential motivation for this attack.
