-

Sporting drew with Benfica this Tuesday, for 2-2and is the first team to guarantee their presence in the Portuguese Cup final.

After victory in the first leg, the Reds were looking to recover from the loss and presented a great team and started to put more pressure on, despite neither team scoring in the first half.

In the second half, Alvalade’s team took the lead. In the 47th minute, Viktor Gyökeres appeared on the right, waited for his teammates to arrive and served Hjulmand’s brilliant shot from the edge of the area, which gave Trubin no chance.

Six minutes later, the Eagles restored the tie and livened up the match. David Neres crossed to the second post where Otamendi appeared, in front of Gyökeres, heading it accurately.

Two minutes later, the green and whites took the lead again. On the right, Geny Catamo entered the area, crossed with his left foot, Trubin cut forward and Paulinho finished on the rebound.

In the 64th minute, David Neres, with his heel, served Bah, who shot from the right towards the second post. Rafa appeared to hit the back of the net and close the score on Luz.

The ‘green and whites’, who have already won the competition on 17 occasions, the last in 2018/19, will face in the final the winner of the second semi-final, between FC Porto and Vitória de Guimarães (Wednesday, at D . Afonso Henriques, and April 17, at Dragão).
