The world has 2,781 billionaires, 141 more than last year and 26 more than the maximum ever recorded (in 2021). They are also richer than ever: a total value of 14.2 billion dollars, 2 billion more than in 2023.
The exorbitant numbers were revealed this Tuesday, as always, by Forbes magazine, along with a few more data that are worth looking at: list of the 200 richest in the world, two-thirds have more wealth than a year ago and just a quarter have less. The names in the top 20 alone have added $20 billion to their wealth since last year.
