The cruise ships ‘Mein Schiff 3’ and ‘Marella Explorer’ arrived at the Port of Funchal this morning, bringing 6,273 people on board, of which 4,580 are passengers.
The ‘Mein Schiff 3’ came from Lisbon, with 2,471 passengers and 908 crew and stayed in Madeira for 17 hours. The ‘Marella Explorer’, coming from Lanzarote, carries 2,109 passengers and 785 crew and makes an 11-hour stopover in the Region.
The ‘Mein Schiff 3’ is on a 26-night cruise that began in Bremerhaven, on March 28th, with stops in Lisbon, now in Funchal and then in Las Palmas, where it sails tonight, at 11:30 p.m. , followed by Fuerteventura, Mindelo and Praia, in Cape Verde, Tenerife, Ponta Delgada and Praia da Vitória, in the Azores, A Coruña and return to the port of origin, where the trip ends on April 23rd.
The ‘Marella Explorer’, a weekly presence in this high season in Madeira, makes another 7-night tour of the Atlantic islands of Madeira and the Canary Islands. The cruise started in Tenerife, on March 29th, with stops in Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, now in Funchal, and then La Gomera and Tenerife, where this cruise ends next Friday.
