A 59-year-old woman was injured this Tuesday following a fire that destroyed an annex, in the parish of Travassós, Fafe.
From what O MINHO found, the victim suffered injuries to his arm when he was trying to remove a tractor from that already burning space.
It was unsuccessful and she ended up suffering burns, having been transported to Hospital Senhora da Oliveira, in Guimarães.
The tractor was completely charred, as were several agricultural implements that were stored in the same annex.
The fire caused extensive losses, which have not yet been accounted for, but which are expected to amount to several thousand euros.
The flames were fought by the Fafe Volunteer Firefighters, with 10 operational personnel, supported by three vehicles. Civil Protection was on site and activated a backhoe to remove material from inside the annex, namely wood, and thus carry out the aftermath.
The causes of the fire are not yet known.
The alert was given at 2:15 pm.
The GNR deployed four elements, with two vehicles, and recorded the incident.
